The NEW ChessMate® Ultra-Wallet is our revolutionary, top-of-the-line, handmade pocket-chess-set style form-factor.
The board colors are light tan & very dark green, the border-design is an elegant antique-gold color, and the entire board surface has a clear laminated coating to protect it for many years to come.
It comes with a generously sized capture-panel, while the hidden, folding chessboard opens to an ample 6 inches by 6 inches.
The NEW ChessMate® Ultra-Wallet represents the culmination in almost 30 years of ChessMate Pocket Chess Set design and fabrication.
The NEW ChessMate® Ultra-Wallet also includes one CM120 disk-piece KIT (with four extra pieces per side: Queen, Rook, Bishop and Knight for promotion).
All of the CM120 piece-disks that come with this Ultra-Wallet are clearly printed, along with a durable clear-coat that will protect the piece-images for many years.
The 9/16" diameter disk-pieces hold to the surface quite well once assembled with the 7/16" diameter magnetic buttons (yet they glide easily around the board during use), while the 6" folding board (with 11/16" squares) has a clear, thin-laminate coating to protect the chess board image for many years to come.
The NEW ChessMate® Ultra-Wallet incorporates several innovations that put it in a class all by itself among pocket chess sets:
1) This is a non-leather Chess Wallet set that is handmade using high-quality Imitation Ostrich and Imitation Leather material components, and is available only in Black.
2) The entire chess-dedicated folding case, chessboard capture-panel compartments are handcrafted using superb quality materials that give it an extremely functional and elegant look & feel.
3) The raised compartment ribs are machined from high-quality, #6061 Aluminum that have been hard-Anodized in Black, and individually wrapped with Imitation Leather rib supports to blend in with the rest of the hand-built folding case.
4) The folding case "clicks" when closed by means of two efficient, magnetically-aligned closure strips.
5) NOTE: Some minor assembly is required with the included CM120 disk-piece KIT.
6) The NEW ChessMate® Ultra-Wallet measures a sleek 3.75" x 6.5" x .75" closed.
